Distillery celebrates winning two Lovies!

We were over the moon to discover that our Diversity Type Project added two more awards to our prize cabinet this week. Creating a typeface that champions diversity has won a People's Lovie for Advertising for Best Digital Campaign and a Silver Lovie in the 11th annual Lovie Awards, which took place on 17 November 2021. If you took the time to vote for us, we can’t thank you enough!

The idea behind distillery’s Diversity Type Project seeded from an internal discussion about championing diversity within our team. It grew into an outward expression of diversity that engaged the advertising and marketing industry in the diversity and inclusion conversation. And then blossomed into a global project bringing together 308 creatives from 54 countries to redesign each letter and number from the Latin alphabet and create the world’s most diverse typeface.

We coordinated the creation of the Diversity Type to celebrate the world’s diversity and to highlight all the wonderful possibilities that open up when you bring those diversities together, in this case, to create an almost infinite number of texts. I am thrilled on behalf of the whole distillery team and the creatives behind each letter and number who are dotted all around the world, that the Lovies has recognised and championed the value that the Diversity Type brings to the D&I conversation and are helping to ensure that it continues to make a lasting imprint.
